Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has admitted that big-money summer signings are unlikely, with the club set to rely on the academy once again.

The Whites missed out on promotion as they lost to Derby in the play-off semi-final, whilst they really should have secured a top two finish as it was in their hands with four games to play.

Therefore, providing Marcelo Bielsa stays, the Yorkshire outfit don't seem far away from being able to push for automatic promotion once again.

However, journalist Adam Pope revealed how Radrizzani suggested at the FT Business in Football Summit that Leeds won't be splashing out on new players like many fans hope they will.

"We’ll have to run a difficult summer in terms of the transfer market but we have a great academy."
