Sheffield Wednesday fell to a frustrating 1-0 defeat to Stoke City on Tuesday evening, which means they're remain in the bottom-three in the Championship. 

Steven Fletcher scored the only goal of the game against his former club just seven minutes before the final whistle, which means that it's now two defeats in their last three matches in the second-tier for Neil Thompson's side.

Sheffield Wednesday are sat 22nd in the Championship table, and will be hoping they can put together a positive run of results at the earliest of opportunities in their battle to retain their status as a club in the second-tier.

One player that featured in their defeat to Stoke City was midfielder Joey Pelupessy, with the 27-year-old coming on as a second-half substitute for defender Chey Dunkley.

But he was unable to to make a significant impact on the night, as he lost both of the aerial duels he was faced with, as well as losing possession on three occasions. (Statistics sourced from Sofascore)
