Birmingham City attacking midfielder Odin Bailey has insisted that he is determined to create more memories for the club following his last minute winner against Middlesbrough.

The 19-year-old, who only made his senior debut for the Blues in August, was brought on as a substitute in the second-half of last Friday's clash with the Smoggies.

With the clash seemingly heading towards a draw following Daniel Ayala's late equaliser for Boro, Bailey opened his account for Birmingham following neat work from Dan Crowley.

The teenager's goal sparked wild scenes at St Andrew's as Birmingham sealed all three points in-front of their supporters.

As a result of this victory, the Blues moved up to 12th in the Championship standings and closed the gap between them and the play-off places to four points.

Although Bailey has suggested that his goal against Middlesbrough will be forever etched into his memory, he is now looking towards the future.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, the attacking midfielder said: "I'll always remember this evening, but I've got to put this behind me now and try and score more goals.

"I won't rest on my laurels and I'll keep pushing on.

"I know there are a lot more goals in me, but I've got to keep improving."

Bailey will be hoping to feature for Birmingham when they face Leeds United on October 19th in the Championship.

The Verdict

With Bailey aiming to become a key player for the Blues this season, it will be intriguing to see whether Clotet decides to give him more opportunities to prove himself following his recent display against Middlesbrough.

Unquestionably talented, the midfielder could develop into a quality operator at this particular level if handed a sustained run in Birmingham's starting eleven.

Providing that Bailey continues to perform admirably in the Championship, the Blues will have every chance of achieving a relative amount of success this season.
