Odds slashed on Championship player joining Rangers

Published

on

The odds on Norwich City attacker Steven Naismith rejoining his former club Rangers have been cut by BetVictor from 4/1 before Christmas to just 7/4.

Fellow Scottish club Kilmarnock are still in the box seat to sign the former Everton man but the chances of a return to Ibrox have increased.

Naismith said earlier in the week that he would be willing to play for Rangers for free, which underlines his commitment to leave Carrow Road in this window and go back to the club he left for Goodison Park in 2012.

Naismith has only made four appearances in all competitions for Norwich this season and has failed to score a single goal or lay on an assist for a team-mate.

The Verdict

Naismith is clearly desperate to rejoin the Scottish giants and hasn’t added much to Norwich’s season so a return north of the border makes sense.

I would think that wages would be the biggest stumbling block but Naismith is obviously willing to make sacrifices to make it happen.

Norwich fans – would you happily see Naismith return to Rangers? Let us know in the comments below…
