‘Obsessed’, ‘Aged well’ – Many Bristol Rovers fans react to journalist’s tweet about Bristol City loanee

Bristol Rovers beat Sunderland 2-0 at the Memorial Stadium last night and many fans of the Gas have been quick to respond to a tweet about Bristol City loanee Antoine Semenyo.
Rovers picked up just their second win since manager Ben Garner took charge in December last night, with Jonson Clarke-Harris scoring twice against the Black Cats.
The Pirates’ League One play-off hopes have faded almost completely due to their poor form over the last few months but they may still have a part to play in the race for the top six.

Last night’s result has left Sunderland in seventh place and means Phil Parkinson’s are now without a win in their last four.
There was some interest from across Bristol in the clash at the Memorial Stadium as Semenyo, who is on loan with the Black Cats from City, started yesterday evening.
Ahead of the game, the Bristol Post’s Gregor MacGregor tweeted that he hoped to see the 20-year-old forward score against Rovers.
Love to see Semenyo on the scoresheet tonight as he starts down the road #BristolCity https://t.co/Bz2ojv9WjI

Semenyo was unable to find the net or help his side avoid defeat and many fans of the Gas were quick to aim digs at MacGregor following the final whistle.
