Wolves play Bristol Rovers tomorrow night at Molineux in the third round of the Carabao Cup and if the last two rounds are anything to go by you can expect major changes.

The impressive 2-0 victory at Southampton last time out came on the back of eleven changes from the previous league game. What's more, none of those who had started the league game even made the bench on the South Coast.

Therefore, you can expect Nuno Espirito Santo to do something similar again tomorrow.

With Wolves flying in the league, Saturday's league game against Barnsley will be the priority, which presents players on the fringes with a chance to impress.

The Championship is a notoriously difficult and players will be called upon throughout the year.

So, those currently out of favour will be desperate to prove themselves to the manager.

Here's the TWO fringe players Santo needs to use for Wolves tomorrow:

Michał Żyro

Polish international Żyro joined Wolves in January 2016 but has only played nine games for the club.

After a very bright start to his Wolves career, he was subject to a horrific challenge from Antony Kay against MK Dons in April of the same year. It fractured the attacker's knee and caused multiple ligament damage, ruling him out for 16 months.

He returned for pre-season and obviously will not be rushed back. His first action back in the first-team was in that Southampton win where he contributed with a fine assist.

Żyro will be looking forward to the Rovers game more than most as it provides a chance to get back out on the pitch again and if he rediscovers his old form, he could be the backup forward option Wanderers need.

Sylvain Deslandes

France U-20 international Deslandes joined Wolves from Caen in 2015 and has featured in a small number of games since.

The latest was in Saturday's win at Forest, when left wing-back Ruben Vinagre was forced off with an injury. Prior to that, he played as the left centre-back against Southampton and in pre-season where he impressed.

With the injured Kortney Hause the only left-footed player of Wolves current crop of central defenders, the young Frenchman might be able to offer more balance to the first XI if he can prove himself in games such as this.
