Aston Villa will be looking to carry on their promotion challenge in the coming weeks after a frustrating draw with Millwall at the weekend.

The result wasn't the end of the world, of course, but they will be looking to cut out the home draws for the second half of the season as they aim for the play-offs at the very least.

Whilst we wait to see how they do in that aspect, then, the Villans are going to be looking to try and sign some players in the January window to strengthen their squad.

With FFP lurking, though, Villa are a bit hamstrung for signing players and so it might just be in the loan market where they look to add to their team.

Indeed, that is the verdict of the Birmingham Mail, with them putting a number on the amount of players that Villa are aiming to bring in.

Indeed, they believe that Villa will be looking at getting two loan signings in at least during the next window and now it remains to be seen who exactly they go for.

You feel as though they need a new striker at the very least, though, and so let's see if that is where Villa look.

The Verdict

Villa need some new players to freshen up their tired squad.

The Villans are getting by but you can just tell that they are getting fatigued thanks to the amount of injuries that have built up and so let's see who they bring in.
