It was another frustrating afternoon for Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sheffield Wednesday at Ewood Park.

As has often been the case recently, Tony Mowbray's side largely dominated possession and territory, but struggled to make a breakthrough, with only a stunning solo goal from Joe Rothwell to show for their efforts.

However, things could have been much worse for Rovers had it not been for Rothwell, with the hosts having found themselves behind against the run of play shortly before half time, thanks to a calamitous defensive mixup.

Attempting to head a long ball forward back to goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski, on loan Leeds left-back Barry Douglas instead saw his pass bounce off the back of teammate Daniel Ayala, and into the path of Adam Reach, who produced a stunning effort from long range to find the top corner and put the Owls ahead at that point in the game.

That error was yet another difficult moment in what has been a somewhat challenging time for Douglas since his move to Ewood Park, something which has not gone unnoticed by a number of the club's fans, with a number far from impressed with the Scot as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game.

Here, we take a look at what some of those Blackburn supporters had to say about the 31-year-old.
