Paul Heckingbottom’s position at Leeds United is becoming more and more uncertain, with Marcelo Bielsa the latest man to be linked with the Elland Road job.

Leeds finished 13th under Heckingbottom last season, failing to mount the promotion push many at Elland Road were expecting.

According to reports from El Correo, Bielsa has emerged as a contender to replace Heckingbottom at Elland Road, with a suggestion that negotiations between the 62-year-old and Championship club are already open.

Bielsa has managed the likes of Athletic Bilbao, Marseille, Lazio and Lille in recent years, and earlier in his career took charge of both Argentina and Chile on the national stage.

Links between Leeds and Bielsa have also been backed up by Phil Hay from the Yorkshire Evening Post, with the respected journalist confirming the 62-year-old's name has been mentioned to him.

As expected, there has been plenty of reaction to the links between Leeds and Bielsa across social media.
