Norwich City have confirmed that centre-back Grant Hanley has signed a new five-year deal with the club.

The former Blackburn man is currently out with an injury that has prevented him from playing since the start of September.

However, manager Daniel Farke still sees the Scotland international as an important part of the team moving forward and Hanley has been rewarded with a long-term deal.

The 26-year-old enjoyed a solid end to the previous campaign under Farke and was given the captaincy at the start of the current season.

And, it's been a fantastic few months for the Canaries, with the Norfolk outfit currently leading the way in the Championship with 33 points from 17 games.

Hanley will be desperate to get back out there playing to help the side and it's fair to say his new contract went down well with the majority of fans.

Here's how some reacted, with many calling for fellow centre-back Timm Klose to be the next to sign up...
