According to reports from Football Insider, Birmingham City are in advanced talks with striker Lukas Jutkiewicz, regarding a new long-term deal with the club.

The 30-year-old is now entering the final year of his contract at St. Andrew's, with the club seemingly determined to keep hold of one of their most important players for the foreseeable future.

Che Adams grabbed most of the headlines for Birmingham last season, after scoring 22 goals in all competitions that ultimately made a reported £15m move to Southampton materialise.

Jutkiewicz, though, was arguably one of Blues' most underrated players, scoring 14 goals and producing 10 assists and being a tremendous strike partner to Adams.

After losing the latter this summer, it is massively important that Birmingham do keep hold of their other prolific attacker, as Pep Clotet's side look to have a positive season in the Championship.

Here, then, we take a look at how Birmingham fans have reacted to this news...
