The Sky Bet Championship season is drawing to a close, with two promotion places still up for grabs, along with two relegations to be settled.
Newcastle United are fighting at the right end of the table, looking to secure an instant return to the Premier League.
The upcoming weeks will prove to be vital, where it will be decided if the Magpies’ season has been a success or failure.
Rafa Benitez’s side have failed to pick up a victory in their last three Championship fixtures, and have had to sit back and watch Brighton and Hove Albion gain promotion to the top-flight.
With just three fixtures of the season remaining, Benitez’s side require just five-points to secure automatic promotion, three of which they will be looking to pick up against Preston North End this weekend.
One player who has been key for the Magpies this season is Isaac Hayden, who has proved to be the perfect partner alongside Jonjo Shelvey in central midfield.
Hayden has recently been absent with an ankle injury, but returned to Benitez’s starting line-up over the Easter period, featuring against Leeds United and Ipswich Town.
The midfielder has now taken to his personal Twitter account to post a simple picture of himself in front of the Newcastle supporters at St James’ Park.

Newcastle’s fans reacted to Hayden’s post by encouraging the midfielder and his teammates to secure promotion as quickly as possible.
Here is some reaction…
