‘Now go enjoy yourself’ – Plenty of Brentford fans respond as star man sends parting message

Brentford have had a brilliant transfer window so far making some very smart purchases including the high-profile signing of Pontus Jansson.
But on Thursday they were bidding farewell to a first-team name as Ezri Konsa completed his move to Aston Villa.
His reunion with Dean Smith was confirmed after spending two years at Griffin Park and the 21-year-old had a few words to say after his departure was completed.
I want to say a huge thank you to @BrentfordFC for the faith and support they’ve shown in me over the last 12 months. To the manager, my teammates, the backroom staff and the fans, thank you! All the best for the future. ???????? pic.twitter.com/qVjovHhaIL

He was brought to the West London club by Smith in the summer of 2016, moving from Charlton Athletic for just over £2.5million.
The fee paid by Villa is reportedly just under an initial £12million, meaning a profit of just under £10million has been made in two seasons.
Last season saw him make 47 appearances in all competitions for the Bees, impressing under both Smith and his replacement Thomas Frank.
Really enjoyed your time with us and look forward to watching you make your mark in the Premier League. Villa was my Grandad's team anyway, so I have a bit of a soft spot for them. The best of luck to you fella, now go enjoy yourself!
