Notts County have suspended academy manager Mick Leonard, pending an internal investigation.

The club announced the news on their official website, stating, "The Club would like to stress that there is no disciplinary action taking place against Mick Leonard at present."

"However, as the investigation is on-going, we will be making no further comment at this stage."

Leonard is a former goalkeeper and played for the Magpies between 1979 and 1988 making more than 200 league appearances and has been part of the youth scheme since 2008.
