Notts County have boosted their squad ahead of the forthcoming 2015/16 campaign, by securing the services of Rhys Sharpe, the club’s website have confirmed.
Left-back Sharpe joins from East Midlands rivals Derby County and has put pen-to-paper on a two-year contract with the Magpies.
The Northern Ireland Under-21 international is yet to take his professional bow, but he has tasted first-team football during a loan spell with Shrewsbury Town, where he played three times.
The Nottingham-born youngster was in fine form last season for the Rams’ Under-21 squad and put in a series of impressive displays.
The versatile player can also play on the left-wing and has pace in abundance.
He becomes the second signing for Magpies’ boss Ricardo Moniz following the arrival of former Exeter City captain Scot Bennett, who joined the club last week.
Moniz is expecting to bring in a number of players this summer as they prepare to embark on their first season back in League Two following last season’s relegation.
Notts fans… Who else would you like to see the club sign?
