Sky Bet League Two side Notts County have confirmed on their official website that they have parted company with manager Ricardo Moniz following a disappointing start to the campaign.
Moniz was a surprise appointment following the departure of Shaun Derry last season but did have significant managerial experience abroad with sides including Red Bull Salzburg and Ferencvarosi.
The 51-year-old arrived at Meadow Lane in April but was unable to keep the Magpies in League One and their disappointing form has continued this season.
They find themselves 15th in the table after collecting 30 points from their 23 league games, and they were also knocked out of the FA Cup by non-league Salford City.
In the absence of a manager, the board have placed Mick Halsall and Richard Dryden in temporary charge.
