Notts County have made their first summer signing by completing a deal for versatile player Scot Bennett.
The Magpies announced via their official website that the former Grecians captain has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal at Meadow Lane.
Bennett made his debut for Exeter City in 2011 and has since gone on to make 141 appearances, scoring 18 goals in the process.
The player has versatility in abundance, having started his career as a defender he has also established himself as someone who can play in midfield, and in attack also.
Following the signing which took place this morning, Bennett spoke to the club’s media team.
The 24-year-old said to the official site: ‘This is the right club for me to be at, they’re a massive club and hopefully we can look to get promotion.
‘I have always wanted to get to the top and if this club can push on, I think they have the potential to do just that.’
Bennett becomes the first signing of what will probably be many, as boss Ricardo Moniz assembles his squad ahead of the Magpies first season back in League Two.
