The 3,500 Magpies fans in more than 100 countries put the League Two side in second-place behind leaders Leeds.

The results were registered by the Represent Your Club website.

County have historic links with Italian giants Juventus, which has helped them secure more than 1,500 fans based in Italy.

Fans from a number of countries around the round were registered as supporters of the Meadow Lane outfit, including the United States, Brazil, Portugal and even Syria.

425 fans are in Hungary, which is most likely down to the fact they have the country's cult hero Balint Bajner in their ranks.

City rivals Nottingham Forest were in fifth place in the table, whilst Mansfield Town were 62nd.

County suffered relegation last season from League One and travel to Stevenage for their opening game of the season on August 8.
