Wolves might have run away with the Championship last season, but in the Premier League they're finding goals hard to come by.

Nuno Santo had the Midas touch last season, but his side is 14th in the top flight and struggling to hit the back of the net.

Their league position is by no means a disgrace, they've settled well and have resisted the struggles that seem to have befallen both Fulham and Cardiff City, but if they're going to kick on they need to improve going forward.

As they know the Championship well, they'll understand there's plenty of talent available to the right buyer. They've seen many of those players first hand and know exactly what attributes many of the Championship strikers have.

If they're going to solve their striker crisis, they may want to have a look at these three Championship stars.

Whether he'd move or not is not the question, if they want to alleviate their striker crisis then there's fewer better in the Championship than Kemar Roofe.

He isn't a household name outside of Yorkshire, but his pace and movement are excellent and he's got a good eye for a finish.

In a 'money no object' world, Roofe would be the man they need to sign.

The question over Lewis Grabban is whether he can do his stuff in the top flight. There's no doubt he's the best in the Championship right now, 15 already this season is testament to that.

Is he the right man for Wolves? He'd be a quick fix but if they got him in anything like the form he's showing at Forest he'd be a great signing.

Maupay has been the shining light at Brentford all season and whilst the goals have slowed down, the livewire 22-year-old is still a real talent.

He'd fit nicely into the Wolves style too, he's quick and has a trick or two up his sleeve.

One wonders how much Wolves have to spend and whether it would meet Brentford's valuation of the Frenchman.
