Nottingham Forest manager Chris Hughton will be keen to address his side’s goalscoring woes in the summer transfer window.
The Reds were one of the lowest scorers in the Championship this season, scoring only 37 goals in 46 league matches as they stumbled to a 17th place finish.
Their leading goalscorer was Lewis Grabban with six goals, with the 33-year-old failing to replicate the form he displayed under Sabri Lamouchi in 2019/20.
With 31-year-old Lyle Taylor scoring only five goals and 37-year-old Glenn Murray scoring only two goals, there is a real need to bring in younger attacking options this summer.
In fairness to Grabban, his goals have been beneficial for Forest in recent seasons. The experienced forward scored 17 goals in his first season at the City Ground, and became the first player in over 16 years to net 20 goals last season.
Does he appear on the list of Forest’s top 10 oldest goalscorers, though? Take a look…
