The wait for the football season to get back underway goes on, with the EFL previously announcing that fixtures aren't set to get back underway until the 30th April at the earliest.

It means that the race for promotion into the Premier League has been briefly put on hold to focus on the health of people across the UK.

Nottingham Forest are one of the teams that are in contention to challenge for promotion, with Sabri Lamouchi's side currently sat fifth in the second tier standings.

They're ten points adrift of second-placed West Brom in the table with nine games remaining, and will be hoping they can put together a positive run of results from now until the end of this year's campaign.

With players training from home during the 'lockdown' period in the UK, some of the Forest squad have taken to social media to issue updates on their progress away from the club's training ground.

In a recent update on his Instagram story, Forest midfielder Tiago Silva issued an update on his training regime at home during the break from competitive action.

Silva has made 38 appearances in total for Forest this season, and will be hoping he can play his part in their promotion push when the season gets back underway.

Due to recent off-the-field events, Nottingham Forest's next match is due to be on the 2nd May when they take on Stoke City, although that scheduled return date could be pushed further back in the near future.

The Verdict:

It's good to see him staying sharp in training away from the training ground.

I've been impressed with what I've seen this season from Silva, and Sabri Lamouchi will be hoping that the midfielder can build on some impressive performances as the season heads towards a conclusion.

He's been a key member of their squad, and will know that he needs to be at the top of his game if they're to stand a chance of winning promotion into the Premier League this term.

The Reds haven't been at their consistent best this season, but a strong run of results in their final nine games of the season will give them much-needed momentum heading into the play-offs.
