Due to recent events, all football in the UK has been suspended until further notice, with the EFL announcing that the Championship isn't set to return until the 30th April at the very earliest.

This has given supporters and players a chance to spend time in their houses and away from everyday life in football.

Nottingham Forest's Joe Lolley has been spending his time away from the training ground playing Football Manager, and has managed to guide Gloucester to the Premier League title in the 2038/39 season.

But his side clinched the title with a convincing 3-0 win over his own club in real life, Nottingham Forest. Boyhood Reds fan and England cricketer Stuart Broad was quick to voice his displeasure at the defeat for his side against Gloucester.

Lolley issued a hilarious response to Broad though, and claimed that Ben Watson was still playing in midfield at the age of 56, which is certain to raise a smile on the Nottingham Forest supporters' faces during lockdown.

Watson has made 72 appearances so far for Nottingham Forest, and seems to be getting better with age as he has been a key member of Sabri Lamouchi's side this season.

The Reds captain has made 37 appearances for the Reds in all competitions this term, and the club's supporters will be hoping that he can continue to play a key role in their promotion bid this season.

The Verdict:

Watson is getting better with age, there is no doubt about it.

He's played a starring role in their promotion bid so far this season for Nottingham Forest, and his good work often goes unnoticed compared to the likes of Lolley and Lewis Grabban.

If Forest can find some consistency in their performances after the break from football is over, then they could well be the dark horses heading into the play-offs this season.

Players like Lolley and Watson will have to be at the top of their game if this is to happen though, and Lamouchi and the City Ground faithful will be keen to see them step up to the mark when required.
