Nottingham Forest's Joe Lolley has taken to Twitter to express his bemusement at the reported instructions the Premier League will give to captains, senior players and managers today. 

English football has now been suspended for two months, though it does seem we are moving closer to a decision over if, how, and when the 2019/20 campaign will be concluded.

According to The Telegraph, the Premier League is set to hold meetings on 'Project Restart' today and will attempt to both ease growing concerns over safety and emphasise that if plans aren't accepted the future of the game will suffer.

The report claims that 'Project Restart' is set to bring with it changes to the game to reduce the chances of a "second peak" and another future delay, including telling players to turn their face away when tackled.

That suggestion has drawn a bemused reaction from Lolley, who took to Twitter to express his thoughts.

The 27-year-old has been a key man once again for Forest, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists as they've battled near the top of the Championship.

Sabri Lamouchi's men are fifth as things stand but await developments on how the EFL plans to conclude the current campaign.

The Athletic has reported that the EFL is set to hold pivotal meetings today, with League One and League Two likely to be brought to an early end this week and Championship clubs fearing the same fate.
