Nottingham Forest are one of the most coveted teams in English history, but the last 15 years has been majorly an era to forget.

After getting relegated from the Premier League, Forest slumped from a big team that could fight for promotion to a side resigned to mid table.

The Reds had a few good years in the last decade or so, including a couple of play-off pushes with Billy Davies in charge, but since then, it has been a forgetful period.

The ownership of Fawaz Al-Hasawi was definitely an era to forget, with the club having big problems on and off the field.

The City Ground has been toxic at times, and attendances seriously slumped due to these problems.

Here, we have chose the 3 most embarrassing moments of the last 15 years for Nottingham Forest.

Relegation to League One in 2004/05 was certainly the most embarrassing moment of Nottingham Forest’s recent history.

The Reds finished 23rd and never looked like staying up, scoring less than a goal per game on average.

Joe Kinnear was manager until Christmas, and his replacement Gary Megson was even worse.

Not a singular event, but the whole Fawaz ownership ran the club into the ground and made it an embarrassing and depressing time for Forest fans.

The club went from a club who fought for promotion to the Premier League, to a team that often found themselves scrapping to stay in the division.

Derby County have had the better of Forest over the last decade or so, and the 3-0 loss in 2016/17 sums it up.

A Nicklas Bendtner own goal, along with strikes from Tom Ince and Will Hughes, were enough to embarrass Forest.

The away end was nearly empty by the time the final whistle blew, with the fans embarrassingly forced to an early exit.
