Nottingham Forest will wait until the official paper work and international clearance from the Football League and Spanish FA, before announcing the signing of Slovenian International full back Bojan Jokic, according to the Nottingham Post.
Although no issues are foreseen with the clearance, Forest are keen to avoid any hiccups as they look to get Jokic through the door.
The 29-year-old currently plays in La Liga for high-flying Villarreal, but has seen first team opportunities limited this season due to the team’s form.
Jokic will be keen to cement the left-back spot and provide a timely boost to Forest’s faltering season.
The men from The City Ground currently sit in 14th place in the Championship, 10 points off both the play-off and relegation places.
It has been an incredibly inconsistent season for Dougie Freedman and his side, with the Reds failing to maintain any sort of consistency.
The club do seem to have turned a corner though, with the Nottinghamshire club currently eight games unbeaten in the Sky Bet Championship.
