Football League World head to the City Ground tonight as Nottingham Forest prepare to take on Reading in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Reds go into tonight's clash on Trentside knowing that a win will see them climb to third in the Championship table, two points off the automatic promotion places.

Sabri Lamouchi's side currently sit fifth in the Championship table, and come into this one on the back of a 3-1 victory over Luton Town - their third win in four games.

The only fixture in their last four matches that they didn't manage to win, in fact, was against Reading - two goals in stoppage time at the Madejski Stadium saw the game finish 1-1.

The Royals, meanwhile, sit 16th in the league standings having endured a mixed start to life under Mark Bowen. They have won two of their last four games, and lost 2-0 to Millwall at the weekend.

Bowen's men sit nine points off the play-off places and 12 points clear of the relegation zone, sitting firmly in mid-table on 36 points.

Having played only three days ago, it is likely that Lamouchi will make changes to his Forest side tonight, with Joao Carvalho likely to return to the starting line-up.

Sammy Ameobi - who replaced Albert Adomah at the weekend - may also start for the Reds, and new signing Adama Diakhaby could make his debut from off the bench.

Reading, on the other hand, could be set to make one change tonight, a potential reshuffle in defence, with Matt Miazga potentially coming in for Michael Morrison.

The bookies are naming Forest as the favourites going into tonight's clash, and it's no wonder given their impressive home form this season and their league position in the table.

The Reds don't have any fresh injury worries, either. Their only absentee is a long-term one, with Tendayi Darikwa still out of action after picking up a ligament injury in pre-season.

Reading also don't have any fresh injury worries, and they will still be without striker Lucas Joao, who has scored five goals thus far this term - George Puscas and Yakou Meite have only scored more.

Can you get 13 out of 13 on this Forest quiz?

Lewis Grabban and Joe Lolley got themselves on the scoresheet against Luton last time out, and the former will be hopeful of adding to his 15-goal tally for the season on Wednesday evening.

In fact, Forest have managed to express their firepower more than their opponents this season, scoring 38 goals in the Championship and conceding less than the Royals, too.

Both sides are very equal when it comes to possession, too, so fans can expect a decent game of football between two sides who love to get the ball down and play.
