Neil Harris has had a busy end to the January window and the Millwall boss is looking to add Jamie Ward to his squad before the window shuts.

The Nottingham Forest attacker won’t be guaranteed game time at the City Ground and according to HITC a move to The Den should go through today.

The 31-year old has made two brief appearances as a sub for new Reds boss Aitor Karanka including coming on for the final 15 minutes in the defeat to Preston last night.

However, with new signings likely it is apparent Ward doesn’t feature in Karanka’s plans.

If he does make the move to Millwall, it will increase the options Harris has in the final third following the arrival of Tim Cahill earlier in the week.

Should the deal go ahead, the Northern Ireland is likely to go straight into the squad for the Lions trip to Reading this weekend.

As well as that, Ben Marshall is another who is expected to make a deadline day move to the London side.

The Verdict

Millwall have had a very good window and Ward coming in would make it even better.

His hardworking, aggressive style will go down well with the fans and more importantly he gives them pace up top.

Neil Harris has got a good side at The Den but there are question marks about the strength in depth they have, so Ward would go some way to addressing that.
