Nottingham Forest are yet to make their first move of the transfer window as Chris Hughton continues to scan the market for potential new recruits.

It promises to be a busy summer for the Reds, after the club bid farewell to seven players at the end of their contracts at the end of a poor 2020/21 campaign.

There is plenty going on off the pitch, though, with a new-look recruitment team being assembled at the City Ground ahead of next season.

That's where we begin today's round-up, as we take a look at the latest news and transfer gossip to emerge from Trentside...

Dane Murphy

Dane Murphy has resigned from his role at Barnsley to become Forest's new CEO, according to Football Insider.

The American has been Barnsley's CEO since the summer of 2019, and has been responsible for bringing in the likes of Daryl Dike to Oakwell.

But Murphy has now resigned as he looks to become Forest's new CEO, with club secretary Taymour Roushdi also set to join him.

Lyle Taylor

Finances could also prevent Middlesbrough from making a move for Forest striker Lyle Taylor, Teesside Live claim.

Taylor scored only five goals in all competitions for Forest last season, and it is believed that Chris Hughton is willing to listen to offers for the 31-year-old this summer.

Football League World understand that Middlesbrough, Blackburn and Barnsley have all considered making moves for Taylor ahead of next season.

Teesside Live, however, claim that there are question marks over Taylor's attitude, and his wage demands could also prove to be problematic.

Jerry Yates

Blackpool are set to demand around £5million for Jerry Yates this summer, as per Nottinghamshire Live.

Forest are among those interested in signing the forward, after he scored 23 goals in all competitions last season as Blackpool won promotion from League One.

But Blackpool are set to fend off interest from Blackburn, Forest and West Brom by slapping a £5million price tag on the 24-year-old's shoulders.
