This latest gesture is sure to go down well with the City Ground faithful, and it's good to see a footballer giving something back to the younger generation.

Darikwa has been a regular in the Nottingham Forest side this season, and he'll be hoping to play a crucial part in helping martin O'Neill's team finish in the play-offs by May.

The full-back signed for the Reds in the summer of 2017, for an undisclosed fee from Burnley.

He has gone on to feature on 41 occasions for Nottingham Forest and has been a crucial member of their side this season, having made 21 appearances in this year's campaign.

Darikwa is likely to be involved in Forest's next league game against Preston North End this weekend, where they could keep the pressure on the top six with a positive result against the Lilywhites.

The Verdict:

This is a lovely gesture to make.

Footballers often don't get the recognition they deserve outside of the game at times, but this is the sort of publicity they should be getting on a more regular basis.

This will only be a small gesture by Darikwa, but it'll certainly make a considerable difference to the young people over in Zimbabwe.
