It has been an impressive 2017/18 campaign for Ryan Yates, with the Nottingham Forest youngster making the most of a loan moves to Notts County and Scunthorpe United this season.

The midfielder spent time on-loan with Notts in League Two during the first-half of the season, helping Kevin Nolan’s side into play-off contention, where they have stayed, even beyond Yates’ departure.

From January, Yates has taken the step up into League One, featuring regularly for Scunthorpe and helping the Irons secure play-off football later this month.

Over the course of the season, the 20-year-old has made 44 appearances, managing to score eight goals from midfield.

When Scunthorpe’s play-off campaign is over, Yates will return to the City Ground, where Aitor Karanka will be keen to cast an eye over the midfielder, who has enhanced his reputation this season.
