According to the printed Express, via the Scottish Sun, a number of clubs are looking into signing in-form forward Lawrence Shankland.
The striker has been excellent up top for Scottish side Ayr United and has 30 goals in 30 games – an impressive return no matter what your level.
And, indeed, that return has caught the eye of a number of sides down south with the likes of Hull, Nottingham Forest, Oldham and Sunderland all apparently keen.
For sure, he looks a real prospect and he’s already been the subject of interest this season with Swansea seeing a bid for him turned down in the January window.
It looks like Shankland could well have a bit of a decision to make come the end of the season if this many clubs – and potentially more – are keen on him.
He’s a good player clearly and though there might be a few question marks over whether he can play in England, you’d have thought he can surely hack it.
Who’d be good for him, then? That remains to be seen but you could see him doing a job for a club like Hull or Swansea who need to be shrewd and see punts work out for them.
