Nottingham Forest are looking to get themselves into play-off contention this season and they did themselves no harm at the weekend with a win over Bolton.

It was a much-needed three points after the Reds lost to Ipswich Town last time out and now they need to try and chalk up the wins on the bounce over Christmas.

That is the challenge that awaits Mark Warburton and his squad but the task has been made a little easier by the recent progress of Tyler Walker.

In the last few weeks or so, Walker has begun to show he is ready to feature more at this level and having an extra option is no bad thing at all.

Indeed, he was one of the bright sparks for Forest at the weekend and these stats from The Lad On The Ball on Twitter certainly highlight that:

A good weekend, then, for Forest and Walker whilst, as the tweet suggests, it was a good match all-round for those that have come through the club.

Forest will certainly be excited by the progress of their young stars, and with a bit more experience being added in January, who's to say where they could end up in May.
