Nottingham Forest ace Zach Clough has praised his new manager Mark Warburton, reports the Nottingham Post.

Although Warburton was not at the club when Clough joined on January transfer deadline day, the former Bolton Wanderers attacker has said that he couldn't have hoped for a better manager to come in.

This is down to Mark Warburton's style of football which Clough believes is well suited to his game.

The versatile forward is now operating in a number 10 role, just behind the striker and he is thriving in this role and contributing towards the Forest attacks.

The 22-year-old believes that a passing game suits his style of play and is really helping him develop as a player.

With four goals and two assists in his 11 games for Nottingham Forest so far, Clough is starting to establish himself as an important member of the Reds' first team squad.

Talking about Warburton, Clough said:

"Mark is great.

"He wants us to play football the way I want to play it and I am fitting into it really well; it is perfect for me."

"I know he wasn't here when I signed, but I couldn't have asked for a better manager to come in with the style of play he wants.

"It suits me to play a passing game and operate in the number 10 role, and I think have done well since we have been playing this way."
