Sky Bet Championship outfit Nottingham Forest are set to welcome captain Henri Lansbury back into the first team squad tomorrow, following a three-month lay off with an ankle injury.
The former Arsenal man is expected to take a place in the starting eleven during tomorrow’s game against Brentford at the City Ground to offer the Reds a massive boost.
Lansbury had been used in a more defensive role protecting the back four under previous managers Stuart Pearce and Dougie Freedman, but he admits that tomorrow may see him used in a more advanced role, by Forest interim boss Paul Williams.
The 25-year-old told the Nottingham Post: “The gaffer has certainly told me that I will play a little further forward. I hope to have a more attacking role.
“I am looking forward to it because I have a lot of energy to give, after being sidelined for a little while.
“He has said that he will let the shackles off and let me push on into an advanced role.”
Forest are currently 15th in the Sky Bet Championship and will probably need a couple more wins to ensure safety from relegation for the campaign.
