Nottingham Forest will be heading into the 2017/18 season looking to build massively on what has been a miserable season for the Reds this year.

Barely avoiding relegation, the two time European Cup winners will be expected to come out and perform far better than they have this year, and with Mark Warburton at the helm, they look to finally have someone to bring some stability to the club.

The summer transfer window is going to be a big one for the Reds though, with the club having plenty of young talent who they can build round, but also knowing they need quality and new faces to improve.

One such player who they could look to poach is Sheffield Wednesday outcast Almen Abdi, valued at £2.55m by Transfermarkt.

The little midfielder was a £4m signing for the Owls just over a year ago, but he has since dropped away from the first team and never really managed to nail down a place in the first team.

Abdi though does have excellent quality in the locker, and there is little doubt that if a midfield was built around him, he could flourish, as he showed during his time at Watford.

Abdi could well be the missing bit of quality Forest need in the middle or the number 10 role, and is certainly someone who could be available given his situation at Hillsborough.

Forest fans, what do you think to this? Would you take Abdi? Let us know in the comments!
