Nottingham Forest are having quite the summer at the moment as their fans sit back and enjoy the spending spree currently going on at the club.

The captures of the likes of Diogo Goncalves and Joao Carvalho have really gotten the attention of Reds fans, who are now excited for the new season as the club look to avoid a third success battle against relegation.

Spending is unlikely to stop any time soon too if all the rumours are to be believed, and Forest will be keen to add even more players to what is a squad which is emerging as one of the strongest in the league on paper.

Indeed, we at FLW have been having a think about who the club could be looking to sign, and one player we think would be a superb addition is Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

Valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt, the 22-year-old played a key role last term for the Whites, but with new manager Marcelo Bielsa in charge, he will be keen to find out if he is going to become a regular at Elland Road next term.

This is where Forest could swoop. With the idea sold to Phillips around the Reds' ambitions for a return to the top flight, as well as the evidence of new quality players currently being brought in, Phillips might well be tempted to make the move to the City Ground.

An excellent all round midfielder who is still young enough to keep improving,  Phillips would be a superb addition for Forest.

Reds fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
