Nottingham Forest will be looking for a better final two thirds of the season after a disappointing opening third under new manager Phillipe Montanier.

With prospective new owners in place and the club finally moving away from the much maligned Fawaz era, the club can look to move forward and towards some more positive times for the City.

The two time European Cup winners are a huge club, with an excellent fan base and arguably deserve more than they have had of late.

The new owners could well look to strengthen the squad once they are in place, and one club they might look to poach talent from is Man City.

City are fast becoming a global brand known for some of the best players and young players in the world. Their academy is second to none, and under Pep Guardiola, they are undergoing a real revolution in football terms.

With this in mind, we take a look at TWO Man City players Nottingham Forest could look to poach in January...

Angelino

The young defender is already high up on Pep's list of talented young players to watch out for, but a loan move might just benefit him that bit more.

Comfortable across the back four and technically sound, a few months in the Championship would be ideal for his development.

Forest could benefit from his talent, and would be wise to make a move for the player if the chance became available.

Thierry Ambrose

Forest are in need of more firepower to aid Brit Assombalonga, and it might be worth taking a punt on French youngster Ambrose.

Highly regarded at City, the pacey and powerful striker looks to have an extremely promising future in the game if he carries on the way he is going.

The 19-year-old is a regular for the City development squad, and a spell in the Championship testing himself against top defenders is something he should consider. Forest would surely benefit from having another pacey striker around.

Forest fans, would you take a punt on these two? Let us know your thoughts!
