Ryan Tunnicliffe is set to be a free agent this summer when his contract with Fulham expires, a far cry from his promising days as a youngster in the academy at Manchester United.

The 24-year-old joined Fulham in 2014 but only made 38 league appearances across three years in west London, but a number of Championship sides are sure to court the player this summer.

Nottingham Forest could emerge as a potential destination for Tunnicliffe, with the Reds still in the market for a central man to replace Henri Lansbury who departed for Aston Villa in January.

Although midfielder Tunnicliffe has struggled since his move to Fulham, there is no doubting that the player is talented, and could rediscover his form once a permanent transfer to a new club is finalised.

Forest boss Mark Warburton is famed for bringing the best from young Premier League academy graduates, with Adam Forshaw and Harlee Dean impressing under the former Brentford boss, and Tunnicliffe could do the same.

As mentioned, Forest are crying out for a Lansbury replacement, and if he can find his feet in Nottingham, then the player could establish a real connection with the passionate Forest fans.

If Warburton gives Tunnicliffe the opportunity, then the player will surely do what it takes to ensure his faith is rewarded.
