It's not been boring being a Nottingham Forest fan in the past month, with a change of manager and copious amounts of transfer activity to enjoy.

After a poor start to the 2020/21 campaign, added on to the incredible final day collapse against Stoke City last season, Forest parted ways with manager Sabri Lamouchi on October 6, and immediately appointed Chris Hughton to the role.

The former Newcastle and Brighton boss has helped to steady the ship at the City Ground, picking up five points out of a possible nine since taking charge.

Whilst most of Forest's transfer business was done before Hughton arrived, owner Evangelos Marinakis allowed him to bring in Anthony Knockaert - a player well-known to the new manager having played under him at Brighton.

And The Reds also swooped very late in the day for West Brom's Kamil Grosicki - or so they thought.

Are these 10 facts about City Ground true or false? Have a go now!

The window shut well over a week ago and reports from Poland indicated that the registration system 'did not send confirmation' of the deal, whilst Forest were adamant everything was done in time.

Lawyers are apparently fighting for the deal to be pushed through, and Grosicki himself has hinted that there may be some news imminent.

But do Forest really need Grosicki when they have a fledging youngster of their own waiting in the wings?

Sure, Grosicki is proven at Championship level, having netted 24 times for Hull in three seasons, but in wages, potential transfer fee and court costs, the deal could end up being very expensive - not to mention that Forest may end up losing the battle entirely.

The club could save a lot more money by giving academy graduate Alex Mighten a chance more regularly in the first team.

The 18-year-old broke into the first-team squad last season, making eight league appearances off the bench, the majority of them though only being for a few minutes - but look at what he can do!

Before Lamouchi's departure, Mighten was given more time off the bench in the first three league games, and then started in Forest's 2-1 loss to Bristol City.

Mighten has been left on the bench for all three of Hughton's games in charge, but he could end up developing into a star should the Grosicki deal not come off, with Forest academy boss Gary Brazil believing that he is already developing into an 'elite player'.

Hughton himself already believes Mighten is good enough, so now is perhaps the time to show his faith in the wonderkid - especially with such a gruelling run of games coming up for all Championship teams.
