Nottingham Forest are on course for an exciting season in the Championship if things continue as they are at the moment, with the Reds making big moves in the market already.

The signings of Diogo Goncalves on loan and the big money capture of Joao Carvalho have really captured the attention of fans at the City Ground, and it will be interesting to see if manager Aitor Karanka continues to be given the cash to splash.

We at FLW think that there is every chance that the Reds will indeed keep on spending, and one man we think could be a good buy is Sunderland midfielder Didier Ndong, who has had a mixed time of things in England with both Watford and the Black Cats.

The big midfielder, who is a full Gabon international and valued at £7.2m by Transfermarkt, has simply not played the level he is clearly capable of as yet in England, but there remains a talent in there, and Ndong could simply need the right manager to get it out of him.

Sunderland paid big money for the 24-year-old, and he spent last season on loan with Watford, where he did very little. However, Forest are building something, and the notion of pairing Ndong with Carvalho in the middle is something which could well be appealing.

Forest need to keep spending if they are realistic about aiming for promotion, and Ndong could well be an excellent signing.

Reds fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
