Nottingham Forest supporters will undoubtedly be hoping to see their team revive their fortunes next season after narrowly avoiding relegating to League One during 2016/17 by virtue of goal difference and on the final day of the campaign.

The Reds will be made of sterner stuff next season once Mark Warburton has overseen a full pre-season, or at least that is the hope among the majority of the club's long suffering fans.

If Forest are to make sure they become a force to be reckoned with and climb the Championship table during 2017/18, the Forest boss must ensure that he adds to his current crop of players at the City Ground.

One area that could be subject to a makeover at the football club is out on the flanks and there is a certain ex-Red who would represent a fantastic coup for Nottingham Forest.

That man is Oliver Burke who was sold by the East Midlands-based club last August for £13 million to Red Bull Leipzig, where he spent last season on the peripheral of the starting eleven.

Some regular game time would not do Burke's development any harm and he would surely relish the chance to return to Nottingham Forest where new owners could potentially signal the dawning of a new era.

The 20-year-old came through the academy at Forest and a season-long loan would represent a superb piece of business for the Reds, who would throw themselves into contention for the top six with such a transfer.

Nottingham Forest fans, would you welcome Burke back to the City Ground? Is a loan move realistic? Let us know in the comments below!!!
