Ask any Nottingham Forest supporter what their weakest position on the pitch is and the majority would struggle not to mention the downfall of quality options in the goalkeeping department.

Ever since Dorus de Vries left the City Ground for Celtic around twelve months ago, Forest have struggled to maintain any sort of consistent defence and it hasn't helped with 'keepers suffering injuries throughout the campaign.

However, Mark Warburton has must sort the area out, with their problems between the posts attributing to their downfall of the club's Championship status in recent years, having only retained their status in the second-tier on the final outing of last season

If the boss is serious about acquiring an experienced, well-thought of shot-stopper then it would be a poor decision to make a move for out-of-favour Liverpool man Adam Bogdan, who has incidentally been linked with a transfer to the East Midlands in recent weeks.

The 29-year-old has been contracted to the Anfield giants since 2015 when he completed a switch from relegated Bolton Wanderers to the famous Merseyside, but his measly two appearances for them has seen many cast doubt over his future in the north-west city.

In order for more regular minutes, Bogdan (valued at £850k on Transfermakrt) joined up with Wigan Athletic following their impressive return to the Championship but his seventeen matches for the Latics were halted when a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament forced an early switch back to Liverpool.

Still, currently on the sidelines, it's unlikely the Hungarian international will ever fully thrive following his spell in the physio room and that is why it would be too risky for Nottingham Forest to sign on a permanent basis.

There are a number of other recognised shot-stoppers who can easily guide Mark Warburton's men up the table without having to take a monumental gamble.
