Nottingham Forest could be boosted by the return of Adlene Guedioura this weekend, with the midfielder pictured back in training.

Guedioura fractured a cheekbone in mid-August, leaving the midfielder on the sidelines after a fine individual start to the season.

The 32-year-old registered a goal and an assist in his first four Championship appearances. However, the Algerian has been missing since the 2-2 draw with Wigan Athletic, with Forest’s form dipping as a result.

Today, Nottingham Forest have shared a picture of Guedioura back in training and wearing a face mask.

Aitor Karanka’s side face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with it looking like the midfielder will be back in contention.

The Reds will be going in search of just their second victory of the season after enduring a tough start to the campaign.

Forest have seven points from their first six fixtures of the season, with Karanka’s side not making the impact many expected them to this season.

Heading out of the international break, Forest sit in 14th, seven points adrift of the automatic promotion places.

The Verdict

This is great news for Forest, with this update one that will delight supporters.

Guedioura looked very good in early August and Forest have missed him.

Karanka has plenty of other options, but they don’t offer what the Algerian does in central midfield.
