Nottingham Forest are set to launch a bid to bring Blackpool midfielder Jamie O'Hara to the City Ground, according to FLW sources.

O'Hara is currently mulling over a new deal which the Tangerines have offered him, and FLW understands that Reds boss Dougie Freedman is set to offer the former Spurs midfielder a chance to stay in the Championship.

The 28-year-old played 26 times for the Championship's bottom club last season and netted two goals after signing for Lee Clark's men back in November.

With Blackpool currently in turmoil - they currently have just six players signed on for next season, no goalkeeper and no manager - it is likely that O'Hara will refuse the club's offer of improved terms and an extension to his contract.

Forest are themselves working under tight transfer restraints and O'Hara would be on a maximum of £10,000 per week should he decide that the City Ground is where his future lies.
