Nottingham Forest are the latest club to be linked with a move for out of contract Newcastle United midfielder Yasin Ben El-Mhanni.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the Reds - along with Leeds - are monitoring the situation of the winger, who has left the Magpies following a bust up with under-23 coach Peter Beardsley.

However, Forest will not have it all their own way in the hunt for El-Mhanni, with the likes of Wolves, Lazio, and Benfica all reportedly interested in signing the tricky winger.

El-Mhanni failed to make any sort of impact on the Newcastle first team despite making his debut for the club back in 2017, and he will be hoping a move this summer can finally kickstart his career into gear following a poor few seasons in England thus far.

Forest, who have already made a host of new signings this summer and are among the early favourites for promotion to the Premier League, will be hoping to tempt El-Mhanni to the City Ground and convince him their project is one worth joining under Aitor Karanka.

Competition will be high though for the winger, and it appears he will have quite the choice when it comes to making a decision on his future in the coming weeks.

Forest fans, what do you think to this? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
