Nottingham Forest’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end after defeat to Brentford last weekend.

The Bees overcame Aitor Karanka’s men 2-1 at Griffin Park to compound further misery on the Tricky Trees.

Forest have only won once in the league this season and sit 14th in the division after one win and four draws.

In this next round-up, we take a look at all things Nottingham Forest from the past week.

Despite failings in the league, Forest took a Premier League scalp in the Carabao Cup this past Tuesday with a 3-1 win over Newcastle United, scoring two goals in added time to secure safe passage through to round three.

And the Forest manager commented on the impressive victory over Rafa Benitez’s men.

There was a lot of late transfer activity at the City Ground with comings and goings.

Zach Clough moved to Rochdale on loan until January, with Saidy Janko arriving on loan from Porto for the season.

With the deadline passed, free transfers are still able to be completed without restriction, which allowed the Championship side to move for free agent Panagiotis Tachtsidi - signing on a two-year deal.

Upon his arrival, the new Forest midfielder offered some welcoming words to the fans of his new club, before the club released photos from his first training session with his new teammates.

And finally, on the international scene, young Forest striker Arvin Appiah scored for England U18s in their 3-0 win over Holland in the Limoges Tournament, France.

Having been included in the Forest first-team squad for the first time last week, this caps off an exceptional week for the 17-year-old.
