According to the Nottingham Post, Jamie Ward could leave Nottingham Forest in the summer window.

It's been an up and down season for Forest but they are now assured of a Championship place next season and they'll be looking to kick on under Aitor Karanka.

With that said, then, the Spaniard will be aiming to have a busy summer window and it is likely a number of fringe players will surely be moved on.

Indeed, he has already shown a ruthless streak at the City Ground and, according to this report, Ward might fall foul of that next.

The industrious winger is a tenacious and hard-working presence but does have his injury issues.

Indeed, he's hardly played on loan for Cardiff since January and it looks as though there is every chance he'll be gone come the next window.

The Verdict

Ward is a likeable player because of how hard he works and how tough he makes it for opponents to get a moments rest or get past him.

Certainly, with those attributes he'd surely find a new club with it looking as though Forest are going to let him go right now.

The Reds will need to make sure they replace his qualities if that does happen, though.
