Nottingham Forest striker Jason Cummings has been the subject of 'multiple enquiries' according to the Nottingham Post.

The 23-year-old is currently on a season-long loan with League One side Peterborough United, but he's struggled to nail down a first team place despite starting well.

He bagged six goals in six games at the beginning of his loan spell, but following the emergence of a controversial video in which he appeared to smash up his own flat, his form dwindled.

He's failed to net in the league since August 25th and has started 11 games in total, with 11 more outings from the bench. His last start of any sort came in the FA Cup against Bradford City, a 4-4 draw in which he failed to score.

Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony has stated on Twitter that the player may well leave London Road, if Forest receive an enquiry that is suitable for him.

He tweeted: "If a club come in for him, Forest can recall him & get him out playing. There are multiple enquiries. Wish him well."

Cummings scored 55 times in 93 starts for Hibernian before his move to forest, but dropped out of favour under Aitor Karanka.

The Verdict

I'm surprised and shocked it hasn't worked for Cummings at Peterborough. He seems to need the right manager and environment, but that clearly isn't Steve Evans and Peterborough.

If he does find the right club he's still going to be sensational, but he has to be loved, managed closely and most of all, played regularly.
