Sky Bet Championship side Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki, according to reports from The Sun on Sunday (26/05, page 69).

It is shaping up to be a big summer for the Reds under Martin O'Neill, as the Irishman looks to get his feet properly under the table at the City Ground and rebuild his squad, with up to 12 players set to leave this summer.

And, according to The Sun, Forest are interested in signing Hull star Kamil Grosicki for around £2.5million, after a hugely impressive campaign at the KCOM Stadium individually.

The Polish winger has endured a fine season with the Tigers, scoring nine goals and producing 12 assists in all competitions for Nigel Adkins' side and establishing himself as one of the most dangerous wide players in the division.

Grosicki's contract at Hull runs out next season, although it is understood that the club possess an option to extend it by another year.

But Forest are believed to be highly interested in signing the 30-year-old for a cut price this summer, as they look to provide competition to the likes of Matty Cash and Joe Lolley on either flank.

The Verdict

For £2.5million, Grosicki could be one of the bargain signings of the summer if he makes the switch to the City Ground.

He is a very quick, skilful, direct winger who clearly has great end product having scored and assisted many goals this season.

Arguably, Forest don't need to strengthen their wide areas as they already have a lot of quality options in the attacking positions, but Grosicki would be an exception as he is a very dangerous player.
