Nottingham Forest plotting move for experienced international

Maccabi Haifa goalkeeper Vladimir Stojković could be set for a move to the Championship with Nottingham Forest, according to Sun journalist Alan Nixon.

Stojkovic has been a target for a little while now and the deal had been expected to have been concluded a couple of days ago, but the player has yet to arrive in the East Midlands.

Stojkovic would bring with him vast experience, having played 68 times for Serbia in an international career that began in 2006.

He also has played European football at various clubs during his career, and even has a little experience of English football, having made 4 appearances at Wigan Athletic during a loan spell in 2010.

The Serb will be joining a side who have made a solid start under new boss Philippe Montanier, taking 6 points from their first 4 games. Stojkovic will hope to join a side that will be in or around the play-off positions by May.

Forest fans…What do you think? Would Stojkovic be a good signing? How many more acquisitions would you like before the deadline? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
